It was an absolute pleasure learning to drive with Mike, I finally got there on my 3rd time but Mike never gave up on me. I would and have recommended him to all friends and family interested in driving.

So after years of trying and failing and literally thousands of pounds spent, I reached out to Mike. He was really understanding of my nerves and incredibly helpful and super supportive. I honestly felt so much better with Mike, he could see when it was getting to much and would just stop and breath with me. I would encourage any learners to take a course with mike he is amazing

There was no way I would have passed first time without this course. Mike was so helpful and lovely to be with. I would 100% recommend doing an intensive course with him!

I started driving last Saturday and passed first time today! Mike is very friendly, funny and helpful. We stopped if I needed to breathe and calm myself. We had a good chat in between driving as well. Very supportive and wouldn’t have let me do my test if he didn’t think so. Couldn’t have done it without him! Recommended to everyone! 5 stars!

We met mike a month ago and today my brother passed his test for someone that needed that little extra help mike was so understanding and worked with him amazingly. Can’t thank you enough!

Mike is friendly, personable and professional, we are so impressed with his driving tuition. Our son, Sam, has just completed the 18 hour intensive course and passed his test on his first attempt this afternoon. This is real value for money as a package, he gave Sam such confidence and has taught him to be a careful and safe new driver.

It’s taken me many year and many driving instructors. But it all came down to mike who after a gap of me test. Got me through it!
All organised perfectly and I was made aware well in advance!

I honestly can’t recommend Mike enough! He has taught myself, my partner and a friend and we all passed first time. He is such a lovely and calm guy, and great to chat to. I was so nervous about driving, and was not at all confident that an intensive course would be for me, but Mike really put me at ease and amazingly within three days of driving lessons with him I passed! I have had a few instructors over the years, and Mike was definitely the best by far.

Mike is a brilliant instructor. Gave me the confidence I needed in order to pass my test. And can’t thank him enough. Also taught my partner who also passed with him and we both are extremely grateful.

After quite a few failed attempts, much money spent on ad hoc lessons and both Mum, Dad and young driver tearing their hair out we somehow found Mike. What a breath of fresh air!

Our son’s autism doesn’t mean he can’t drive, but it does mean that learning new things can be particularly challenging. Mikes simple approach just made Ben feel relaxed, comfortable and ready. Three days later Ben passed his test. Three weeks later his life has changed for ever. The freedom he now has means he can apply for jobs anywhere, go to the beach whenever he likes, be free. Thank you Mike – amazing!

My son did 36 hours and passed first time. Mike has such a great rapport with students and makes them feel so comfortable. They went driving over 5 days in the hot sun and gave up his bank holiday to do it. He covered many miles as well teaching little tips ie for parking I wish I had been taught many years ago lol. Can’t thank Mike enough for getting me through my driving test – At times I thought it was never going to happen but Mike was there to reassure me. It means a lot to me as I’m a recent graduate in an area with poor public transport links and having a license really opens up the job market to me, increasing my scope for employment in the future. Aside from being an all round top bloke, I think Mikes real strength lies in his patience – as any of my old schoolteachers would tell you, I am by no means the easiest pupil to teach and it would appear that this would also apply to my learning to drive also but Mike didn’t give up where I fear most other instructors would have. Overall, he went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for me and to make it an enjoyable experience. Additionally, I am glad to have spent this time with Mike as he is a down to earth and relatable character and I am happy to have got know him in this time. Can’t recommend enough – thank you for everything – couldn’t have done it without you!

Mike taught me to drive and it was the most enjoyable experience. A fun and friendly environment with plenty of jokes to help ease the nerves. Made a friend in Mike and genuinely miss the lessons. You will not regret your decision learning with this guy! Highly recommend 

Mike is a very good teacher, he is teaching you to drive in a way that is simple and efficient, but safe in the same time. I wish I would have started learning with him, and not wastes money and time on other schools. He prepared me to pass my test after 2 fails with someone else. Highly recommend his intensive courses!

Mike is by far the best instructor I’ve had, with years of experience he knows the amount of hours you need to pass. I had 18 hours of lessons and after 4 days I had passed first time with no faults! So if you want to get on the road quickly and with the highest driving standard you ever thought possible, then Mike’s your man.

So, i never was interested in doing my driving test and getting a full uk license. I was a pure biker. But in May, my bike failed on me and i had no transport. Th garage said to me if i had a full car license they could of issued me a car to borrow. So it made me want to learn to drive to get my license encase that ever happened again. But, when i started driving with mike something suddenly clicked. I fell in love with driving a car. it felt great. really great! Did a couple of days of driving and had my test on the Tuesday an passed first time. Got my license finally and now i have my own car and i am now driving. I am still i biker but also have the car to use if i want to take mates, girlfriend out or travel long distances and shopping etc. It really has opened many doors for me.

I have autism so learning has always been a struggle for me. But mike was excellent. he has become a driver instructor to an actual friend. He taught me so well, in ways i would understand as the autistic mind works so different to the average Joe blogs. He taught me to a way where it felt natural and efficient. Very friendly man who brings a smile to your face even if you mess up. And he is great at chatting too!

For anyone who is autistic and thinks that driving is impossible, think again. Mike knows how to teach you guys and ladies like that. He will get you through your test. He is very understanding with people on the spectrum. I never thought i could do it, but i did thanks to mike.

Everything defiantly happens for a reason, my bike breaking down leading me to get my full uk license.

I can’t recommend Mike enough! I stop driving over 10 years ago and he managed to teach me with the most patience and professionalism how to pass the driving test and after only 24 hours of lessons I just passed my test! Don’t think twice as he gets booked very quickly! Muchas gracias Mike!!

If you’re going to spend 36 hours of your week in an enclosed space with someone you don’t know, you had better choose wisely! From the first day, Mike put me, a completely new driver, at ease, and made the experience fun and friendly. He was patient with mistakes, offering helpful, timely reminders/feedback and taking over only when absolutely necessary. He offered consistent encouragement and positive feedback that helped to build my confidence hour by hour. He knew when to keep going and when it was time for a break – he also encouraged open communication and feedback from me and adapted his approach accordingly when appropriate.

There were also a variety of anecdotes and amusing driving-related catchphrases which I’m sure will be with me whenever I’m driving until the day I die!

I ended up passing the practical test first time, after a week’s course. I had not driven before starting the course, aside from half an hour in a car park 7-8 years ago. This is testament to what an amazing driving instructor Mike is – I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Supportive and also a really nice and funny guy. Learning to drive at age 39 felt quite daunting, and my confidence wasn’t very high but Mike recognised that straight away and really helped me see that I was capable of driving well. He instinctively knew the right approach I needed in each lesson. I had a few lessons with another instructor a few months before which hadn’t gone well, I felt like I would never learn to drive! On my first lesson with Mike he had me driving down the A3, something I was dreading but as soon as I did it I realised it was totally do-able, and it was just what I needed to boost my confidence! Mike was very reliable, always on time, and any communication with him was always friendly and efficient. I passed my test first time (I had around 40 hours of lessons spaced out over a few months) and I’m over the moon!

Mike came highly recommended through a friend and when I found out his dad Brian was the same chap who taught me to drive it seemed like fate – Our son Max had a weeks intensive course and went from total non driver to being confident behind the wheel in only seven days, passing his test first time.
Mike has endless patience and his teaching skills go above and beyond and exceeded all expectations. Thank you – we can’t recommend you highly enough and hope you’ll still be teaching in 6 years when our next child is 17!
